Description
The Avigilon Embedded USB Smart Reader is a small, versatile multi-technology reader that can be used either as an entry reader on the Avigilon Alta access control system or as a USB-connected enrollment reader at a workstation. Its compact size and snap-off mounting brackets allow it to fit inside turnstiles, elevator panels, kiosks, or single-gang boxes — and the optional desktop bracket (OP-RSC-DESK) supports enrollment use. The reader supports Avigilon mobile access (Bluetooth, NFC on Android, Wave to Unlock), DESFire EV3 high-frequency cards and fobs, and 125 kHz proximity credentials including HID Prox. It carries an IP65 rating and UL 294 certification. ESS deploys these readers across enterprise access projects.
